The 1934 drawing is closely related to a wide range of Picasso's other
works, in fact more so than any previously known picture. As a consequence,
its discovery provides an important and much needed key to the mysteries of
Picasso's symbolism. What follows is a brief pictorial survey, with explanations, of some of the most interesting examples of this corresponding symbolism. The extent and complexity of the correspondences, I believe, show beyond any reasonable doubt that Picasso must have been the author of the drawing. Much of this information first appeared in a report that was circulated among the world's top Picasso experts in 1993, yet astonishingly most of them refused to respond and shortly afterwards the report was banned from further publication by the Picasso Estate. The information which follows is being made freely available for the benefit of all who have an interest in Picasso and his art.
