Stonehenge Light Pollution and Simulation

Two simulations of the light pollution impact of a streetlit dual carriageway approach road from a new A360 junction which would enter a tunnel portal immediately southwest of the monument behind Normanton Gorse, half a mile away.

Reflected light domes are caused by light bouncing up from tarmac, vehicles and white lines on the roadway, and are unavoidable.

Below the simulations are two further images showing the impact of the nearest current sources of light pollution - military training and Larkhill streetlighting.

Should we be planning to add new sources of light pollution into the World Heritage Site?
